Property search

Search any NZ address, or describe the Auckland site you want

Landsight's search finds any of the 2.4 million addresses in the LINZ register. Or describe what you are after in your own words — a suburb, a zone, a section size, room for a granny flat or a subdivision — and it screens Auckland's properties for it.

Every address in New Zealand

The search bar at the top of every page finds an address as you type, from LINZ's register of 2,428,584 addresses, and opens its property report.

Search in your own words

AI property search reads a description into the filters of Auckland's development screen, and says what it searched for and what it could not. Bedroom counts, asking prices and listings are not in the official record it reads, so it says them back rather than guessing.

  • Suburb, zone and section size
  • Room for a granny flat, a subdivision or a rebuild
  • Services at the site and no mapped flooding

The opportunity screen for Auckland

Opportunities screens Auckland from the council's rating values, Unitary Plan zones and LINZ parcels, and assesses each site it lists for a granny flat — behind or in front of the house — or a subdivision keeping the house, with a preliminary layout on its map.

  • What fits on each site, and what to confirm
  • An AI summary of a site when you ask for one
  • Saved searches, with daily or weekly alerts when something new matches

What search does not do

It does not show properties for sale, asking prices or sale prices: Landsight has no listings or sales feed. It finds sites by what the official records say about them, which is often what a listing leaves out.

Questions

What people ask

Can I search for houses for sale in Auckland?

Not in Landsight. It has no listings or sales data. It finds properties by what the official records say — the zone, the section size, the rating value and what could be built — which you can then check against what is on the market.

Does property search cover all of New Zealand?

Address search does: every address in the LINZ register. The search by description and the opportunity screen cover Auckland, where the council's zones and layers are integrated.

What counts as a development opportunity?

A site where a granny flat, or a subdivision keeping the house, appears to fit the zone's rules on the surveyed boundary. It is a preliminary screen: each result lists what still has to be confirmed with the council and professionals.
