AI property design

AI house design on the real site

Describe the home you want and Landsight's Design Studio lays it out on the surveyed site, within the zone's rules — then shows it in 3D among its neighbours, with the sun on any day of the year and what it would cost to build.

Part 3

Design Studio

A home from a brief on the real site: floor plans in 2D and 3D, the sunlight through the year, and the cost.

Watch on YouTube

From a brief to a floor plan

Bedrooms, storeys, parking and the size of the home: the Studio proposes layouts that fit the site, each checked against the envelope and the rules before you see it.

Change it by asking

Ask the AI design assistant for a bigger kitchen or a third bedroom. It proposes the change, nothing moves until you apply it, and a change that breaks a rule is refused with the reason.

In 2D and 3D

Rooms drawn to true size with walls, doors, windows and furniture; the home in 3D on its site among its neighbours; and the dollhouse view with the roof lifted off.

Sunlight, privacy and cost

The shadows across the site through the day on any day of the year, the sun each room gets, and the construction cost priced element by element at market rates.

The house as it stands

Upload a drawing of an existing floor plan and Landsight reads it into the Studio for a renovation, marked as read so you check it against the drawing.

Questions

What people ask

Can AI design a house for my section?

It can lay out a concept: the rooms, their sizes and how the home sits on the site within the zone's rules. A licensed designer or architect takes a concept to working drawings and a building consent.

Does it know New Zealand's rules?

It applies the Auckland Unitary Plan's standards for the site's zone to every layout, and prices construction at New Zealand market rates.

Which plan has it

The Design Studio: Premium and Enterprise, with AI use counted against the plan's allowance.
